Misa Precious Moments Collection Spring 2012 - Swatches and Review

Although the weather outside is still freezing and snowy I can´t wait for spring to come. I already ordered two new dresses, new shoes and I am hoping spring will come fast :) Well at least I get to try these spring collections, which are beautiful this year. Today I want to show you the Misa spring collection called Precious Moments.

Misa says: "What better time to celebrate the best that life has to offer with the collection of baby-soft pastel polishes in Misa Cosmetics’ latest collection, Precious Moments? These six tender muted shades, perfectly aligned with spring 2012’s biggest nail trends—neutrals and creams—will ensure that nails keep up with the times while paying homage to the experiences that remain in our memories forever."

SOMEONE LIKE YOU

This is a creme beige with a hint of pink. Very elegant and works safe polish. Two coats.

DEEP BREATH

Muted grey creme. I really like the greys Misa makes. Two coats.

SWEET THING

I think this is my favourite of the collection. It is a muted lilac and I can´t remember if I have anything like it. Might try to do a comparison. So pretty! Two coats.

BED OF ROSES

I am sure this pink jelly would look lovely on shorter nails but it does not on mine. I used three coats here and there is still visible nail line. 

LITTLE HANDS

Is is possible to have enough mint polishes? I don´t think so and I am happy to welcome Little Hands to my collection. Great coverage in just two coats.

PINKY PROMISE

This is a muted light pink. I like it, it looks so innocent. Perfect for spring. I think it would also look lovely with some black lace konad. Two coats.

After all the dark polishes I have been wearing lately I am so ready for a spring change and I am glad I have these polishes. Misa did a lovely spring collection. It is delicate full of neutral colours. Most of these are cremes which have all great coverage in two coats. The formula is a bit thicker but not in a bad way, they are just not runny or watery. As I said the jelly is nothing for me but you out there love jellies, I know :)

Misa Surreal Escape Collection 2011 - Swatches and Review

I fell in love with this collection when I saw the promo pictures and was very curious about how these look on nails. Now I have them finally at home and can share my swatches and thoughts with you.

GREY MATTERS

Lighter grey with small dark grey particles. This reminds me of a rainy day. It covered well in two coats.

SPACED OUT

This is similar to the previous but is much warmer with a hint of brown. Two coats again.

BEYOND INFINITY

Blue based grey shimmer. Two coats.

PHAZERS ON STUNNING

Very pretty golden green. I have only two coats on these pictures, although it is a bit sheer.

SHIELDS UP

This was the one that I had most application problems with. It is a bit thick and sheer at the same time. So I had to use three coats for this swatch.

THE GREAT GREEN WHATSIT

This is my favourite. I love it. Although you might not like the brush strokes I don´t mind with this one. Two coats.

I think the last three polishes have a great potential to be used for layering so I wanted to show you. Here they are over a simple black creme. All of them look stunning, don´t you think? I used one coat of each.

I really like how these polishes look together. They make a very nice collection. The first three greys have great formula and coverage. The rest of the collection is a bit tricky. You might feel a bit sad that what you get on the nail is not all the gorgeousness that is in the bottle. You might try to do more coats with these or have some fun with layering them. I showed them to you over black but I can imagine The Great Green Whatsit looking amazing over a turquoise or purple for example.

Misa Hip To My Jive Collection 2011 - Swatches and Review

Ok, so Blogger just ate all my text to this post so I will make it really short, because I don´t have the patience to write it again. Here is the fall collection from Misa called Hip To My Jive:

PEACHY KEEN
More beige than peach but still a nice work safe colour. Subtle shimmer. Two coats.

POP THE CLUTCH

A bit thicker that is why my swatch looks messy. Two coats.

GO FOR PINKS

Nice innocent pink creme. Two coats. 

GOT IT MADE IN THE SHADE

My least favourite but you know I don´t like greens much. Two coats. 

BOP TILL YOU DROP

A coral with very small golden flecks. Two coats.

CATCH A FLICK

My favourite. There is never enough of mints! Two coats.

Overall the collection had great formula, didn´t have any major problems. However I am not super excited about the colours in the collection. They are not ugly, not at all but just not very special for me. That is just my personal taste, I know about a lot of girls who love exactly these kind of colours (my mother is one of them). I still have more to show you from Misa, so stay tuned!

Misa Mermaid Dreams versus China Glaze Blue Iguana

You want to get yourself a nice vibrant blue for summer but you still don´t know which one to choose? Well maybe this post will help. Both of these polishes are from this year´s summer collections. I already did one comparison with China Glaze Blue Iguana (BI) here. I still have one more polish I wanted to compare it to and that is Misa Mermaid Dreams (MD). As you can see from the picture, they might look similar in the bottle but on the nail the difference is evident. I used three coats for both of them but while Misa has full coverage, China Glaze still has visible nail line. For me the winner is obvious, it is Misa Mermaid Dreams...one of the best polishes from all the summer collections for me :)

Misa Paradise Shore Summer 2011 - Swatches and Review

I have a fun summer collection for you today. It is the new summer collection from Misa called Paradise Shore. A few days ago I showed you my heart-shaped sunglasses and how these Misa polishes match here. I started to really like Misa in the past months, they came up with some really nice collections and I am always happy to try the new ones. Here they are:

KRYSTAL WATER

This is one of my favourites. I can NEVER have enough of colors like this. It is like the sea and I love it. This was three coats but totally worth it. This shade is just beautiful!

UNDER MY SUNBRELLA

This is a yellow gold with a glass fleck finish. It is sheer (like most of the collection). On the picture are two coats.

MEGA MARGARITA

This is just not for me, I never was a green lover. Too bad it is so sheer. I recommend layering it on a green neon. Three coats.

SUMMER LOVE

Great darker pink for summer. This one is not so sheer as the others. It should be opaque in three thicker coats. It looks so juicy!

MERMAID DREAMS

LOVE!!! I had this polish on when I hurt my back. Because of that I had it on for one week (something unbelievable for me) and I was not bored with it at all. I kept staring at my nails the whole week. The color has so much depth. Three coats. I think I will take this on vacation with me, really love it.

ENDLESS KEYS

This is a glass fleck orange. Again, it is sheer. I layered it on an orange neon and the two made a great combination. This was three coats.

Although half of the collection is sheer I still like it. The colors are fun and just scream summer. I tried layering the sheer colors over neons of the same color and the effect is really nice. But what I love about the collection most are the blues. I love them so much and got so many compliments wearing them.
