Essence 24h Hand Protection Balm

Winter can be a real enemy for your hands. Today I want to show you my little help. I bought this a few days ago and I became addicted to using it. For me it is a perfect everyday hand cream. It is not greasy, it just leaves a very soft film on your hands. I have it at work and whenever I feel I have dry hands I use it. I like how it smells and I will definitely buy more of these because they are super cheap (CZK 34.9 which is about two dollars for 75ml). The balm contains coconut oil and shea butter. If you have very very dry hands this might not be the right product for you but I like it a lot. The quality you get for the low price is very good.

Essence I´m A Marine Girl nail polish and eyeshadow

Yesteday on my Facebook page I promised to show you swatches of these two beauties from the new Essence collection. Both of these products have the same name, I found that at home. First I want to show you the nail polish. It is an electric blue shimmer and I am absolutely in love with it. It is a big size (compared to some other Essence polishes) of 15ml. The polish itself is amazing. It has great coverage, so what you see on my picture is only one coat. If you like colors like this, run to get a bottle, you will love it like I do :)

P.S. my skin tone changed a lot during my vacation in Greece, I hope to get rid of this soon :(

Then are the eyeshadows. I like the packaging. It is a white compact with a mirror. There is a lot of product, you get 4g of eyeshadows. The colors are a chambagne beige with shimmer and a darker navy blue. They are well pigmented and easy to work with.

I think this is a great collection and Essence shows us that quality makeup and nice colours do not have to cost a fortune :) I still think I should have bought more. What do you think? Any other must haves in this collection?

Essence Mystic Mermaid

Yesterday I went shopping with a friend of mine, also a nail polish blogger. You can imagine that it was hard to resist and I had to buy more polishes. The new Essence products are awesome. They might look boring in the bottle but with a closer look you will see that they are not boring at all. The best are the Special Effect Toppers (I already showed you Hello Holo). For example Time for Reflection...it looks like a boring white in the bottle but it is very close if not a dupe to Illamasqua Prism, one of my favourite layering polishes! You should get that one. But today it will be about Mystic Mermaid:

Again, it is a layering polish. I used it on a dark purple and the effect was amazing. A bit like the CND sparkle effects but more intense. This is one coat, it applies evenly. In the bottle there is a lot of silver, some turquoise and even a bit of pink. On the nail the effect depens on what base color you choose. I can´t wait to try it on other colors! What do you think?

Essence Hello Holo

So I did it again...I went to my local drugstore to shop for more Essence. The problem is that I am on a no buy and there were so many things I wanted to buy! I wanted the magnetic polishes, new colors. But I was brave and walked only with this beauty. This is an amazing holo glitter. I used it on a silver base and on the pictures are two coats. More would be even better :) Great thing about this holo is that you can see the effect even in shade, not much but it is there.

In the sun it goes just crazy! I love the effect it does and I will for sure be rocking this polish in summer.

I don´t know why but my pictures are just crap and I can´t capture the holo effect. So I made a little video for you so that you can see how cool this is. What do you think?

Essence Where Is The Party?

I don´t buy my nail polishes in the drugstore. All the colors are sooo boring there and also overpriced compared to the price of OPI, China Glaze etc. from the US. The only brand that has interesting products is Essence. Problem is that they are always sold out :( Last week I was lucky enough to grab a last bottle of this new beautiful shade. Where is the party? is so many colors in a bottle. The basic color is a grey purple but from certain angles you can also see turquoise and green (those are not very visible on the nail). Be careful about the application, it tends to make brushstrokes but not much. I used two coats for the swatches.

Essence Louise with China Glaze Joy

I got this Essence polish in a sale at my local drugstore and I am glad I did! Purple square and round glitter. I tried it on China Glaze Joy and the effect was so beautiful :) what do you think?

Essence Hypnotic Poison

There was a sale on Essence items at my local store, so I said to myself that I have to try this brand. I know....I am so much behind :) So my first polish from Essence is this mini (it is 5ml, cost me about one dollar) Color and Go in the shade Hypnotic Poison. And I have to say, that I really like it! It looks much better on the nails than in the bottle, which is always a pleasant surprise. This is two coats. I also liked the brush. Now I have to figure out what else I NEED to try from Essence :)
P.S. it looks like I have huuuuuge fingers with this mini polish :D
